Why is it ethical/unethical to wear a crash Helmet while riding a motorcycle?

i want to know what you think about this subject.

no ethics involved. just personal choice… unless it’s the law, in which case there is the ethic of obeying the law.

as for helmets. a doctor friend of mine said they kill nearly as many people as they save. why? 2 things.

1. they impede vision, making it more likely to be in an accident.
2. they double the weight of your head. your neck is only designed for the weight of your head and is MUCH more likely to snap with a helmet on that without one. that is part of why race car drivers use supports and straps on helmets.

basically, riding a motorcycle is inherently dangerous. you always do it at your own risk and even with a helmet on are much more exposed than if you were in even the smallest of cars.
